RISD Maharam STEAM Fellowship

• $5,000 to support RISD students in an unpaid summer internship
• Applicants must research and propose an internship where artists / designers are not usually found.
• The nature of the internship should focus on highlighting and strengthening the role of innovative, visually acute critical thinkers to solve problems and address public/social/community concerns. The work should connect to public policy in some way.
• The internship organization must be a government organization, non-governmental organization, or non-profit organization (not a for-profit company).

Ox-Bow Summer Fellowship Award

• One guaranteed spot for a RISD student.
• Fully-funded, 13 week Fellowship at a unique, artist-run community in Saugatuck, Michigan.
• Opportunity to focus on your work, meet with renowned artists, and grow as a member of their unique, artist-run community.

Skowhegan Summer Residency

• Up to two RISD candidates will receive a scholarship from Skowhegan and matching funds from RISD to cover the entire cost of tuition.
• An intensive 9 week summer residency program for emerging visual artists that seeks to bring together gifted and diverse individuals who demonstrate a commitment to art-making and inquiry.

Anderson Ranch Artists-in-Residence Program

• Up to two graduating RISD students who are selected for a Fall residency will receive funding from Anderson Ranch and the RISD Career Center. This will generally cover the costs of the residency - $1,500 - which includes housing, studio space, and meals.
• The residency fosters creative and intellectual growth for emerging and established visual artists. Residents have access to world-class facilities and 10 weeks of uninterrupted studio time.
• Residencies are offered to artists who work in one of the following media: ceramics, new media, photography, furniture design, woodworking, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture.

Monson Arts Summer Design Residencies

• Two graduating RISD students will be selected for month-long design focused residencies in July and August. Alumni are also eligible.
• Residents will receive $1,000 stipend, room and board, a private studio, and access to Monson Arts’ wood and metal working shops, plus digital fabrication equipment at the University of Maine in Orono.
• Design residents will focus on developing prototypes and designs, and experimenting with materials.

• $15,000 awarded nationally to each of 10 graduating seniors.
• RISD nominates 2 seniors.

Brown B-Lab

• Brown University's Center for Entrepreneurship manages this grant.
• Breakthrough Lab (B-Lab) is an intensive 8-week accelerator program designed to support student entrepreneurs developing ventures.
• Each participating team receives access to custom mentoring, a peer cohort of dedicated founders, a stipend, and co-working space.
• Teams consisting of Brown and/or RISD students are eligible to apply.

RISD Museum Spalter Teaching Fellowship

• The RISD Museum manages this grant.
• Fellows receive $5,000 per academic year and are trained as RISD Museum educators.
• Fellows are responsible for teaching children and youth ages 5 to 18.
• Fellows must commit to a two-year fellowship.
• RISD and Brown graduate and undergraduates may apply.
